Join us on the last Thursday of the month as we get together with Mojo Anderson to discuss different books around each month's theme.
The theme for June is Indigenous Authors. Share your favourite book written by an Indigenous author or just enjoy the literary conversation and learn about titles you might like to read.
Mary Jo “Mojo” Anderson began her book publishing career in Toronto and went on to own an independent bookstore in Halifax, Frog Hollow Books, for almost 30 years. The store hosted hundreds of events with Canadian and international literary luminaries. Anderson produced and hosted radio and television shows including Choyce Words, a television show that spanned over a decade. She was a regular book panelist on CBC Radio and wrote a book column, as well as author profiles, for the Chronicle Herald. Since moving to Banff ten years ago, Anderson has interviewed authors at the Banff Centre for the Arts and Wordfest, continuing conversations with authors from around the world.
Please register for the Virtual Book Club below by noon on Wednesday, June 23, and we will send you a link to the Zoom meeting prior to the event.
And, check out the books that have been recommended and discussed over the last few months and request them through our catalogue:

North of normal : a memoir of my wilderness childhood, my counterculture family, and how I survived both
The girl explorers : the untold story of the globetrotting women who trekked, flew, and fought their way around the world
Like water for chocolate : a novel in monthly installments, with recipes, romances, and home remedies
