Banff Public Library is pleased to offer some of our regular in-house services by appointment Monday through Sunday from 10:00am-12:00pm, excluding stat holidays.
Patrons are welcome to book a 45-minute session to browse the collection, pick up holds from other library locations, use the computers/printer, and access quiet study areas. Exam proctoring services are also available.
To book an appointment, please give us a call at 403.762.2661, send us an email, or submit the form below. Members from the same household are welcome to visit the Library together, but children must remain with their parents/caregivers at all times.
Please refrain from visiting the Library if you might be experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 such as fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, runny nose, sore throat, etc. If you have traveled outside of the country in the last 14 days or have been in close contact with someone who has a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the last 14 days, you must remain at home and are legally required to isolate.
As per the Town of Banff's Temporary Mask Bylaw, library patrons must wear a mask while visiting the Library, and single-use, non-medical masks are available at the front entrance. Library staff will also be wearing masks in the public area. Information on the proper use, cleaning, and disposal of non-medical masks can be found on the Alberta Government's website.
Hand sanitizer and alcohol wipes are available throughout the building, and all high-touch surface areas, such as keyboards, touchscreens, tabletops, countertops, door handles, etc., are sanitized on a regular basis. The washrooms are open to the public and are monitored for cleanliness on a regular basis as well. All borrowed library items are quarantined for 72 hours upon return.
Banff Public Library is committed to providing a safe and welcoming space to our patrons and staff, and we will continue to monitor the COVID-19 updates from the Alberta Government and the Town of Banff to inform our services and procedures.
We thank you for your patience and understanding as we help to maintain the health and wellness of our community, and we look forward to seeing you at the Library again soon!
Please note that as the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we may need to cancel/postpone our in-house and pick-up and home delivery services without notice.
