Banff Public Library is open to the public on the following days/times:
Monday to Friday from 10:00am - 6:00pm
Saturday & Sunday from 11:00am - 5:00pm
Patrons are welcome to visit the Library to browse the collection, pick up holds from other library locations, use the public computers/printer, and access quiet study areas. Exam proctoring services are also available.
Our Pick-Up and Home Delivery Services continue to be offered to those who might prefer more physical distance at this time, and we are happy to make recommendations. Please give us a call at 403.762.2661, send us an email, or fill out our online form with your requests.
The Town of Banff has rescinded the Temporary Mask Bylaw in all previously mandated outdoor locations and most indoor locations, and mask-wearing is currently optional at the Library. However, disposable masks are available at our circulation desk for those who might prefer to continue to wear a mask indoors. The plexiglass at our circulation desk is also still in place at this time.
Hand sanitizer is available throughout the building, and all high-touch surface areas, such as keyboards, touchscreens, tabletops, countertops, door handles, etc., continue to be sanitized on a regular basis. The public washrooms are open and are monitored for cleanliness on a regular basis as well.
Please refrain from visiting the Library if you might be experiencing any core symptoms of COVID-19 such as cough, fever, shortness of breath, runny nose, sore throat, and/or loss of taste or smell. You are still legally required to isolate for 10 days if you have tested positive for COVID-19 or have any core symptoms that are not related to a pre-existing illness or health condition.
Banff Public Library is committed to providing a safe and welcoming space to our patrons and staff, and we will continue to monitor the COVID-19 updates from the Government of Alberta and the Town of Banff to inform our services and procedures.
We thank you for your patience and understanding as we help to maintain the health and wellness of our community, and we look forward to seeing you at the Library soon!
