Creating shared value

Marigold Library System recognizes that participating municipalities and member libraries have varying service requirements and delivers services accordingly. The guiding principle behind Marigold Library System is to pool resources in order to ensure a positive return on investment, regardless of the size of the municipality.

The Regional Automation Consortium (TRAC) is a partnership of:

Using TRACpac, you can search a combined catalogue of over 170 libraries with holdings of nearly three million books, CDs, DVDs, and other materials.

TRAC also participates in Alberta-wide borrowing through ME Libraries. Patrons registered through ME Libraries may borrow materials from any TRAC library, subject to local policies and lending periods.

The libraries within TRAC wish to acknowledge Treaty 6, Treaty 7, and Treaty 8 territory, as well as the Métis Nation of Alberta. The TRAC libraries are located on territory that provided a travelling route and home to many Indigenous peoples.

ME Libraries is a web-based service that allows patrons with a library card from a participating library to create an account with and access the physical collections of other participating libraries. Interested patrons complete a self-service web form to create an account with libraries other than their home library. This allows them to use their home library card at any participating library they have registered with. All items must be picked up at the owning library but can conveniently be returned to any ME library.

To register your library card with ME Libraries, please visit https://melibraries.ca.

For more information about ME Libraries, please visit their Help & FAQ page.

If the library material you want to borrow isn't available through the library's online catalogue, you can request material to be brought in from outside of the TRAC system.

Search for and place holds on materials from any participating Alberta Public or Academic Library with the Relais D2D Inter-Library Loan service.

*Please note that Interlibrary Loan (ILLO) requests take significantly longer to fill.
