Did you know:

In the early days of book printing, the process of binding a book was not an assumed part of producing books for sale. Often, collectors would purchase books with nothing but paper "covers". They had to bring them to a print shop or bindery to have them bound—or do it themselves. For this reason, the libraries of wealthy collectors from before the Industrial Revolution would often have uniform binding.

While you might not have to bind any books you buy now, the art has been embraced by journalers and bookworms today to embellish their collection. It also makes for a fun craft project! Learn a simple method for binding a book in this workshop led by Banff's Poet Laureate, Derek Beaulieu.

There will be enough space and materials for 10 participants, so register below!
