Join us at Banff Public Library for a creative afternoon of bookbinding and a writing workshop with local author Jordan Bartlett!

In the first hour, unleash your creativity as you learn the art of Bookbinding. Design and create your very own personalized notebook to jot down your thoughts and ideas.

Following the bookbinding session, delve into the world of Writing with Jordan Bartlett, a talented local author based in the Bow Valley. Jordan is not only an author but also a Speech and Language Pathologist and a certified yoga instructor. She spends most of her waking hours reading, writing, and enjoying the Rocky Mountain lifestyle.

Jordan is known for her young adult fantasy series, The Frean Chronicles, which includes the titles Contest of Queens, Queen’s Catacombs, and Queendom Come (2025). Her passion for creating strong female characters in a world where gender norms are reversed shines through in these award-winning books. She also authored Her Fairy Tale Treasury: The Rose Petal Princess and Other Fairy Tales, adding a touch of magic to everyday life.

In her workshop, Jordan will share insights into the writing process, character development, and what it means to be an author. Whether you're an aspiring writer or simply curious about the craft, this is the workshop for you.

This registered event is open to ages 10 and up.
